Navajo Mountain is a community at the base of Naatsis'aan (Head of the Earth). The mountain is considered sacred to the Navajo People. Rainbow Bridge is a day's hike from the community and is the largest natural bridge in the world. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Lake Powell) is nearby as are the famous ruins that make up Navajo National Monument. San Juan School District has a high school here with a certified staff of 6 and a student population of about 45. Teacher housing is available at extremely reasonable prices.
